Many believe that change (whether establishing a new habit, striving for a goal, or making life changes) is something you exert willpower and force yourself to do. The reality is that if you truly want something, the process will be natural to you. You will be drawn to it. And if you're not, then you're either fooling yourself in thinking that you want it or you're putting up blocks between you and it. Don't misunderstand. Action is required, but it's stuff that on some level you want to do. Though unfamiliar (and thus uncomfortable), the process is part of the journey.
Change and Transformation are about shedding the heavy layers of who you're not. Mostly, it's an inner journey of releasing unhealthy thoughts and patterns so that you can be who you authentically are, do the things you really want to do, and find the courage to live the life you want for yourself.
Give yourself permission to believe, experience, and achieve more!
Change and Transformation can be incredibly challenging & uncomfortable. It's hard to break long held beliefs & patterns in favor of the unknown and unfamiliar. Focusing on Change & Transformation topics can benefit those who are:
repeatedly struggling to make a desired change
What you get out of this work is dependent on the effort, openness and honesty (with yourself) that you put in.
Change is usually relatively small and specific to one aspect of life, like starting a new habit - e.g. taking a 20-minute walk everyday, starting a gratitude journal. Change can be sudden. It can be initiated by you or due to an external circumstance.
Transformation is different. It requires your participation in order to impact you. It's a gradual process - enduring, life-changing, and impacts multiple areas of your life. For example, a health and fitness transformation likely impacts nutrition, exercise, energy levels, mood, attitude, mental clarity - even decision-making. Yes, changes in habits contribute to the transformation, but the effects extend beyond just physical.
Choosing to work with a coach is a matter of personal preference. A coach will support you, challenge you, and help keep you accountable to your goals and process. They will challenge your thinking and your patterns.
Working with a coach does not need to be on a regular schedule - i.e. weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. You could choose to schedule single sessions for occasional outside support.
Online courses are in ongoing development. The first available one is on Personal Foundation.
Because change and transformation are such personal journeys, for now, it's good to have face-to-face conversations about it.
However, if you are interested in an online course on the subjects of Change & Transformation, please send me an email including what particular topics you'd like to see included. Your input will help me in course development and prioritization.
