Gallup Certified Strengths Coach
Originally from Miami, I’ve lived in the Greater Boston area since 2001. I was born and raised in the U.S. and proudly identify as Chinese-Cuban-American. My educational background is in Electrical & Computer Engineering and I worked in Product Management and Product Marketing for 15 years. My career gave me the opportunity to work with colleagues all throughout the company – from the factory floor to executives – and travel all over the world – collaborating with others of diverse cultural backgrounds.
In 2016, I decided to leave my corporate career. At the time, I didn’t have a clear plan; I simply knew that I needed a change. Following the clues that life gave me, I explored Coaching and loved it! I’m a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach and have also gone through the Martha Beck Coaching Program. The tools in both of these programs really complement each other – simplifying your life, leaning into your strengths and bringing out your true self.
I’ve always enjoyed getting to know others on a deeper level. I see connections between things, and I see opportunity in every experience. Bringing those qualities to coaching, it gives me joy to connect with others – to work together to identify and transform limiting beliefs. I absolutely love witnessing the moments when someone gets a glimpse of how incredible they already are and begin to see the possibilities before them.
I thoroughly enjoyed my 15 years in product management, but it was the people I worked with and the customers with whom I interacted that drove me to work so hard. Rather than focus on products, I prefer to work directly with people and help them bring out the best in themselves. When we’re at our most fulfilled, that energy is contagious, and we bring out the best in others – ultimately contributing to our environments and communities.
I see a lot of the work I do with others fall into three categories:
Start with any of these. Or build from 1. Personal Foundation, to 2. Identity, and then to 3. Transformation.
Whether you're a coaching client, part of one of my workshops or you decide to take some of my online programs, the focus of our time together is on you and your personal journey. There are no right or wrong answers, and no designated timeline. Each person's growth journey is unique.
You may have specific goals that you're trying to achieve. And, you may find that your goals evolve as you go through the program(s). That’s quite common. In addition to your goals, I find that there are often pleasant side-effects to your journey. These may include:
What you get from from our work is dependent on what you put into it. Often, it’s not about intentional hard effort, it can simply be about being present, observing, and choosing differently. Small shifts make life easier and can result in incredible improvements.
